Look at the top of the barrel rib to see if the patent dates are complete. The 3 1/4" barrel is fairly typical for these guns as is 4". ![]() The rounded side plate identifies this gun as a second model, but the catalog indicates that the first model was produced until about serial number 4,000.Īs you say, the finish is about gone, and looking at the edges of the sideplate, it may be likely that the gun has been refinished at some point in it's long service life.
